The World: San Francisco - Crispin Porter staff depart to found rival

A group of senior executives from the US hotshop Crispin Porter & Bogusky have quit to set up a rival agency.

The founders of the new agency, to be called Goodness Mfg and based in Venice, California, were behind some of Crispin Porter's most high-profile campaigns including those for Burger King, Ikea and Miller High Life.

The executives include Brian Rekasis, a non-traditional media specialist, and Rupert Samuel, who was the director of integrated production at Crispin Porter. They are joined by the creatives Tom Adams, Paul Keister and Bob Cianfrone, and start with a blank client list.

Cianfrone said the parting with Crispin Porter had been amicable. Alex Bogusky, Crispin Porter's chief creative officer, claimed the departures were not serious given the agency's size.
