The World: Shanghai - OgilvyOne creates joint venture with iconmobile

OgilvyOne is joining forces with the German mobile specialist iconmobile to create a joint venture in China.

The partnership, which will have its headquarters in Shanghai, will focus on mobile design and technology, initially targeting multinationals that "already know what they can do with a mobile".

Both parties will have a 50 per cent stake in the venture, which has already secured Microsoft as a client. Joseph Tsang, the former director of digital strategy at MRM, will head the operation.

The project is the first time that iconmobile has moved into the Asian market, barring a small operation that it holds in Japan.
