The World: Singapore - Guinness appoints BBDO to Asian ad business

Diageo has awarded its pan-Asian advertising account for Guinness to BBDO after a protracted pitch.

The appointment ends Saatchi & Saatchi's hold on the business in the region and aligns BBDO with Guinness globally. The Omnicom-owned network handles the brand in the UK and Ireland.

James Thompson, Diageo's Asia-Pacific marketing director, said: "Guinness is a key premium beer brand for Diageo globally and regionally."
