The World: Stockholm - Allers Forlag buys Hachette's Swedish operation

Allers Forlag, Sweden's largest magazine publisher, has bought Hachette Filipacchi's Swedish division. The deal will see the publisher take control of titles that include Elle and Elle Interior. It also includes Elle's other title, Elle Mat & Vin, as well as the men's lifestyle magazine Cafe.

Hachette currently has 85 employees in Sweden, and Allers Forlag plans to maintain its headquarters in Stockholm.

Martin Hansson, Allers Forlag's managing director, said: "Hachette is a perfect match to our magazine portfolio. With the acquisition of Hachette, Allers Forlag will get a young fashion magazine, an interior design title and a lifestyle magazine for men."
