The World: Sunnyvale - HP marketing head Johnson moves to Apple

Allison Johnson, the senior vice-president of corporate marketing at HP, has joined Apple in a move that was negotiated before the departure of the HP chief executive, Carly Fiorina.

Johnson, who was behind the "everything is possible" campaign for HP, joined the company in 1999 as the vice-president of marketing, having previously held positions at IBM and Netscape. She was promoted to the corporate marketing position in 2002 after the merger of HP and Compaq.
