The World: Sydney - Aegis to launch Posterscope within the year

Aegis is looking to capitalise on Australia's burgeoning outdoor market by launching its Posterscope operation into the country within a year.

However, plans to launch its media brand, Vizeum, have been put on hold.

Patrick Stahle, the chief executive of Aegis Media Asia-Pacific, said the long expected arrival of Vizeum, sister agency of the Aegis-owned Carat, was not a current priority.

Instead, the intention was to strengthen Carat's position in Australia.

Stahle said Aegis had been looking to acquire an agency to become part of Vizeum but no suitable candidate had been found.
