The World: Sydney - DDB Australia opens retail-focused shop

DDB Australia has launched Lightning, a retail-focused shop with offices in Sydney and Melbourne.

The Melbourne office will be headed by Andrew Williams, who returns to his advertising career after five years at Myer, where he held the position of advertising and events manager. Brad Chaplin, a 15-year veteran of marketing and advertising will run the Sydney office.

"Retail is a growing category and, naturally, we want to play a part in it," Nick Cleaver (pictured), the chairman and chief executive of DDB Australia, said. "We're drawing on our knowledge and resources to approach retail from a new direction."
