The World: Sydney - Tourism body invites seven to pitch for ad business

Agencies are angry over a decision by Australia's tourism chiefs to invite seven agencies to pitch for creative and media on their $169 million account.

M&C Saatchi, which created Tourism Australia's controversial "Where the bloody hell are you?" campaign, will repitch for the creative account against Clemenger BBDO, DDB, Whybin TBWA, Publicis Mojo, Saatchi & Saatchi and Singleton Ogilvy & Mather. Carat and MPG have been shortlisted for media.

An agency chief said: "The client has cast the net wide to ensure the parties that make up Tourism Australia are given a variety of ideas to choose from."
