The World: Tokyo - Danone seeks agency for Evian creative account

Danone, the global food and drink manufacturer, is on the hunt for an agency to handle the creative account for its Evian mineral water brand in Japan. The review comes after Danone parted company with its incumbent agency, Ogilvy & Mather, due to a "conflict of interests", because Ogilvy also handles Glaceau's vitaminwater energy drink range.

A shortlist for the business has yet to be drawn up. However, it is thought that Euro RSCG, which is aligned to the brand globally, will be invited to pitch. Evian is only ranked seventh in the Japanese mineral water market, behind brands including Volvic, Suntory and Crystal Geyser.
