The World: Washington - Burnett extends £200m US Army contract

The US Army is extending its contract with Leo Burnett for a further five months while it conducts a second review.

Last year, the US Army announced a statutory review of its advertising account, worth $200 million annually; Burnett's contract was extended to cover the period while the review was conducted.

In April this year, the review was cancelled and restarted, and a further extension to Burnett's contract was announced.

Agencies involved in the second review are Burnett, BBDO, McCann Erickson, Grey Global, Ogilvy & Mather and Young & Rubicam. A decision is expected by the end of the year.
