The World: Wiesbaden - Case against Aegis employees drawing to a close

The German court case against Aleksander Ruzicka, the former Aegis Media Germany chief executive, and David Linn, a former Aegis buying director, is drawing to an end.

Ruzicka is accused of selling free commercial airtime, which had been given to his agency as part of media buying contracts with television channels, back to his own agency, with Linn acting as an accomplice.

According to media reports, the prosecutor has called for Ruzicka to face a thirteen-and-a-half-year jail sentence.

The trial began in January 2008 and a verdict is expected in May.
