- Syzygy, the London based new-media agency part-owned by WPP Group, has spelt out its plans to create a pan-European network and has announced the opening of a German office.

Located in Munich, the German office is likely to be joined later this year by several others. The agency admitted it was in detailed talks with companies in other European territories, notably Spain and Switzerland.

According to Chris Robson, managing director of Syzygy, "We are creating a pan-European agency. Over 50 per cent of our revenues come from outside the UK, principally from Europe, and we are now looking to increase this dramatically."

He added: "Our Munich office will help us address business issues unique to Germany, in which we have built considerable experience over the past year. Importantly, it will also establish us as one of only two specialist digital media groups to have a presence in both of Europe's largest markets."

The Munich office will build on Syzygy's expanding international client base, which already includes German-based Siemens, as well as Procter & Gamble, BP Amoco, Kodak and Barclays Bank.
