WPP buys US research group

- WPP has made a further acquisition in the customer research field, buying the Chicago based company Conway/Milliken for an undisclosed sum.

Conway/Milliken specialises in providing tailored research and consultancy services to companies in the packaged goods and services sector in the US. Last year it reported annual revenues of more than $12 million.

It will operate as part of Research International USA, which forms part of the Kantar group within WPP.

The latest North American acquisition follows the purchase in April of Goldbarb, a Canadian-based international marketing research firm.
