WPP: clarification

WPP has asked us to point out and we accept that, although it has had discussions with AKQA in the past, it is not currently considering a bid for it (Campaign, 24 September), and has no immediate plans to.

We wish to reiterate that WPP had denied any interest in making a bid as at the date of publication and Campaign is happy to make WPP's position clear and unreservedly apologises for any misunderstanding.
