McCann London pulls together "Priceless Surprise" to commemorate client's 18th year sponsoring the BRIT Awards
For the latest incarnation of its Priceless Surprises campaign, Mastercard asked producer Mark Ronson to select six of his favorite YouTube covers of Uptown Funk, the hit song he recorded with Bruno Mars. The six musicians behind the videos were then invited to Abbey Road studios to record their version of the song for a documentary. Or so they were told. When they arrived, Ronson appeared and led them in a single recording session to create the ultimate cover of Uptown Funk.
The collaboration marks the 18th year that Mastercard has sponsored the BRIT Awards. In addition to the video of the song itself, Mastercard and McCann London produced a short video showing Ronson surprising the musicians.
