Account Director - Boutique Digital Agency – Central London – to £55k with excellent benefits

Progressive, central London boutique digital agency requires a highly ambitious Account Director to work across three agency accounts including two stunning FMCG brands. 

The Agency

The agency is a digital, film and social media agency that challenges the convention of the traditional agency model.  They are 25 people strong and come from eclectic backgrounds that make an amazing squad producing magical work for their clients.

The Account Director Role

This role is for a talented and ambitious Account Director who is looking for the opportunity to make their mark within a growing agency. The agency are looking for an Account Director with a previous track record of successfully managing and growing business. Commercial acumen, leadership prowess and relationship building skills are going to be critical.

The role will involve taking autonomy for three excellent client accounts – two of them FMCG - you will oversee and lead the management and development of the campaigns.

The successful Account Director will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the strategy, communications planning, implementation and measurement of the accounts.

They are looking for a driver who will make things happen and take the accounts to the next level, not a passenger who will simply manage the accounts – it’s an important distinction for them.

In the role you will report into a Group Account Director and the agency are looking for a really solid pair of hands.

It isn’t essential that your social and digital experience is top notch, instead, they are looking for a classic suit – someone with a passion for numbers, hungry to grow their accounts organically and someone who builds strong relationships with clients and who shows promise as a good manager of people.

Strategic thinking will be important in so much that you will need to review and craft strategic decks and responses, but you will have the support of and be working very closely with an excellent planner too.

You must love the solid account handling part of your role and be juiced by the nuts and bolts (contact reports, agendas, finance tracking, invoicing, job burn rates, resourcing effectively, etc) and be highly organised with excellent attention-to-detail.

The team beneath you will comprise of a Senior Account Manager, Account Exec, Community Manager, Community Exec and Project Manager.

Account Director - Skills Required

Digital and social media experience with a proven track record in delivering quantifiable brand building work (category specific experience is not essential but is a benefit).

A strategic thinker who can clearly translate and demonstrate how strategy plays out in the work that is produced and can clearly articulate the business value.

The role will involve high level thinking as well as being close to lower level implementation of the platforms.

Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate and sell work at the highest levels within the agency and client organization.

A committed individual who thrives off the challenges that our industry poses us and demonstrates a focus on delivering great work that works.

A clear understanding of how to lead, motivate and inspire a team of talented individuals to produce great work consistently.

A clear understanding and appreciation of digital and social channels and the role that they can play.

An adaptable character who is focused on the delivery of great work on time and to budget on all projects.

The Salary & Benefits
