Our client is the largest women’s organisation in the UK with a membership is in excess of 220,000. They are looking for a keen sales executive to sell classified pages in their top selling magazine to holiday companies, tour operators, excursion destinations and other companies trying to reach this active  marketplace. Ideally you will have some experience of selling  classified advertising  if not you will see this as a way into selling advertising to a large consumer audience.


 

YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS WILL BE…

  • Selling advertising space in the classified section of the magazine ( 8 editions per year)
  • Plan revenue generating schemes i.e. special features within the classified section
  • Cold calling / canvassing from competitor titles
  • Creative thinking to generate flyers and promotional letters for special features
  • Diplomatic skills when dealing with client queries
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to handle  the administration work involved
     

    YOUR PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES…

  • Input orders onto the organisations computer system
  • Send out reminder letters when required
  • Ensure all monies are accounted for invoicing purposes
  • Liaise with their design dept. on layout of classified pages each month
  • Planning and editing of the web pages
  • Planning and designing of the classified pages
  • To undertake any other ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time
