Our client are a well established, but still one of the fastest growing fashion retailers for children. With a strong history and a family lead workplace, our client are looking to continue to grow their team as they expand their market base and client list. At the moment our client have a small in house studio made up of designers, but they are looking to grow this steadily to keep up with demand.

Role Description

Our client are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated young designer to join their ranks and Junior Newsletter Designer. The majority of the role will consist of designing and potentially building various, responsive email newsletters to be sent out to both existing and potential customers. Other responsibilities will include designing and posting for various social media sites, creating weekly blog posts and also creating the weekly newsletters as well as various other design related tasks.

The chosen candidate will be required to work collaboratively with the rest of the team, but must also be able to work autonomously when required, taking the brief from senior members of the team and then working alone to achieve a creative solution.

Skills & Experience

The chosen candidate must have a degree standard or equivalent qualification in Design, or at least one year commercial experience. Any commercial work experience would be highly beneficial. The ideal candidate will also have a real passion for digital design and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of UI design, along with a desire to try new things and experiment, even if it means getting it wrong.

Other skills include:

  • Fully proficient in Adobe CS
  • Understanding of HTML & CSS (Hand coding abilities would be highly desirable)
  • Passion for all things digital
  • Enthusiasm, energy and determination to succeed
  • A hunger to learn and develop news skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage time successfully
