Our client in the education publishing/intelligence arena is looking for a permanent Head of Marketing with strong digital skills. The role is based at its offices near Holborn and is paying up to £60k - for a great candidate with experience in a B2C online retailer/ecommerce business.

Head of Marketing - Retail - Telecoms - £45,000-£60,000 - London

Our client has a respected established brand in the UK and has set up a digital business to increase its reach and use new channels to reach teachers and schools. With a start up mentality, this fast expanding business needs expertise in digital marketing

This role will focus on acquiring new customers, primarily purchasers but also contributors. You will be familiar with key online digital channels including organic search, email marketing, social media and online promotional. The role requires experience of tracking and reporting on campaign performance, and a strong understanding of site conversion and optimisation of user journey.

They are looking for someone with passion, commercial acumen and creative flair who wants to join their dynamic and ambitious company. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the team
- Producing a robust acquisition plan for the year and deliver commercial targets
- Tracking, measuring and reporting on KPIs for all activities
- Planning and executing advertising and promotional campaigns
- Collaborating with various teams and business units to ensure optimum delivery of each campaign
- Working with content, PR and social media teams to integrate campaigns
- Regularly reporting on campaign performance and impact of commercial targets
- Managing internal and external agencies, as well as key stakeholders to implement campaigns, including ensuring compliance with relevant promotional and data privacy legislation.

We are looking for a proactive, self-starter with energy and passion. The successful Head of Marketing will have strong commercial acumen; demonstrable success in driving growth and delivering ambitious targets. You will be articulate and analytical; able to absorb data and information rapidly in order to prepare reports and recommendations, and you will have excellent communication and organisational skills. Our client loves candidates who are full of ideas but more importantly able to deliver on those ideas - on time and on budget. Working with and across many internal departments to deliver projects is a key requirement; a strong team player.
