Business Development Director - Innovation Consultancy

This role has been created to support our next phase of growth in Europe and North America. The Business Development Director is responsible for acquiring new clients across target sectors.

This role requires methodical outreach to C-suite decision makers in global organisations as well managing the conversion of incoming business opportunities.

We expect the ideal candidate to have a wealth of experience in business development and a tremendous track record of success.

The individual will have the opportunity to build a business development function and take ownership of key marketing investments to support new client acquisition.

Experience in dealing with C-suite and senior brand decision makers is essential. Experience of working within brand strategy and /or innovation consulting environments would be highly advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities
*Develop a strategy to target and convert brand and innovation decision makers within our target verticals
*Direct contact with prospects (telephone, networking, events and conferences) to identify new opportunities
*Manage key marketing and communications partners to maximize new business effectiveness (e.g. PR, digital, etc.)
*The individual will be expected to close business but we expect them to utilise the expertise of senior members of staff during pitches and proposals.
*Managing conference calls and meetings with prospects
*Using differing sources to identify prospects
*Target prospects with relevant content and manage the internal production of key case studies, and thought leadership content with consulting and design teams

*Proven new business success with years of relevant experience
*Proven ability to identify and create valuable long term relationships with clients within the brand, innovation or strategy consulting arena
*Proven ability to work with other teams to maximize the impact of new business efforts
*A substantial network of existing contacts
*A demonstrable fluency in brand and innovation principles and challenges
