Account Manager - Conferences and Exhibitions
A fantastic chance to work in a highly strategic and pivotal role with one of the most dynamic events companies in the UK . Our client is currently looking for an Account Manager to sell across exhibitions and conferences, including stand space, sponsorship and digital solutions to a mix of new, lapsed and existing clients. You will be working on an b2b educational sector show that is highly successful.
The role of Account Manager involves selling a mix of stand space and sponsorship / content / digital packages to a range of companies from start-up to some of the largest global companies. Sales will be achieved via a mix of face to face and telephone sales. Our client is basically looking for a motivated and proactive conference and exhibition salesperson, who has a few years’ experience and is confident writing proposals as well as selling stand space. This is for an Asian event (no language skills required). You will not generally be needed to work Asia hours all the time, but some flexibility with start/finish times will be needed.
All About You
- Have relevant sales experience with account management, strategic selling, presentation skills and forecasting in the conference and exhibition sector
- Ability to maintain and grow effective database of clients, prospects and manage a sales pipeline accordingly
- Be organised and motivated to work effectively as an individual whilst making a positive contribution to the wider team (sales, marketing, operations and finance)
- Ability and flexibility to quickly gain a full understanding of any market segments the company operates within, in order to communicate and sell with credibility and confidence
