My client are part of one of the largest players in the world offering advertising, creative and media services from offices in over 70 countries with more digital staff than any other agency. They've had a great year so far with a multitude of new client wins encompassing some world famous FMCG and Fashion brands as well as many other new clients. They have a well-developed learning and development program and a sociable and meritocratic environment.
SEO Business Director - The Role
The role involves you leading and developing a cutting-edge Performance Content department within either the UK or EMEA areas of the business. You will be responsible for both developing a best-in-class future-facing proposition whilst ensuring your team exceed client objectives and expectations. As one of two Business Directors on either the UK or EMEA side of the business, you will be a confident leader and talent nurturer, responsible for managing a number of specialist account teams in the fast-paced area of digital content and SEO. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of our offering, living and breathing our Performance Content proposition, shaping it further and ensuring it is effectively delivered upon.
-Final responsibility for your account teams and the work they produce, including strategic direction, content strategy, technical delivery, client services, and the achieving of KPI's.
-Nurturing of talent within the department, devising training schedules, away days, induction processes and recommending industry certification that will both help develop and motivate your team.
-Ensuring the effective operations of your teams and the overall department. Having a clear view on resource levels, under and over-burn, finances, budget management and billing.
-Industry expert with a broad knowledge of the digital content space including SEO best practice, user journeys, creative ideation, content strategy, new platforms, content management systems and more.
-Leading the new business process when required, including organising responses to RFPs, contributing within chemistry meetings and pitches, coordinating with senior management, stakeholders, studio and procurement.
-Broad understanding of the media planning and buying industry and where content fits as a part of this process
-Managing the recruitment process for new team members including work experience, grad-scheme, contract and permanent positions, as well as management of our PSL and collaboration with the talent team.
-Actively pursuing opportunities within the industry to build the brand by speaking at conferences, creating resources and contributing to industry publications.

SEO Business Director - Key Skills
-Minimum five years'+ digital experience within either content and/or SEO.
-Minimum of three years' proven experience line-managing a moderately sized team of specialists within an agency or content-focused environment.
-Ability to demonstrate strong financial acumen and a genuine understanding of how our business works.
-Very strong leadership skills with demonstrable successful of managing a team.
-Very strong presentation and story-telling skills.
-Thorough understanding of all aspects of digital content, how it works within businesses in 2016 and the purpose of different digital platforms.
-Thorough understanding of SEO and how to effectively apply this to blue-chip organisations.
-An entrepreneurial mind-set and work-ethic.
-Clear and confident communicator. Able to communicate a compelling and inspired vision; someone who talks beyond today; talks about possibilities; is optimistic; creates milestones and symbols to rally support behind the vision; makes the vision sharable by everyone; can inspire and motivate entire units or organisations.
-To be good at establishing clear directions; set stretching objectives; distribute the workload appropriately; layout work in well-planned and organised manner; maintains two-way dialogue with others on work and results; brings out the best in people; is a clear and frequent communicator.
