Head of Paid Media - up to £80K

The Company

My client is an an international digital marketing agency with a multinational team specialising in serving clients with expert localised, multilingual strategy. They are the UK's foremost international digital agency, with over 12 years' specialist experience, 95% projects across overseas markets, and paid media clients including the BBC, Cisco, Aberdeen Asset Management, Sports Direct and World Pay.

The Role

The role manages the core UK team (based in Brighton), plus their exclusive experts Overseas (EOS) network to deliver search, display and paid social solutions. You will be a senior paid media practitioner, with a minimum of 4 years' agency experience in managing large scale paid media campaigns across search, display and paid social. You may already be leading a team, and now looking for a move to an agency with truly international focus and reach. You will be confident in both campaign and team leadership.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with sales and client teams, ensure that campaign and project KPIs are clearly understood, aligned with client needs, agreed, documented and disseminated to your delivery team. Ownership of reporting formats, ensuring accuracy of data and quality of insight is maintained and continually improved
  • Ensure activity is progressed to schedule, delays clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders, quality control is effective. QA responsibility is owned by you
  • Confirm and clarify overall client objectives
  • Where new scope is required e.g. consultancy, take the lead in developing solutions
  • Support sales in chemistry meetings, pitches, sales calls
  • Plan resourcing accordingly
  • Pioneering new ways of working, evolution of best practice, use of best in class platforms and technologies
  • Take the lead in identifying need for new products, services, pivotal in defining and delivering in line with agency strategic planning
  • Overall team management
  • Take the lead in developing and evolving detailed team JDs
  • Be the 'go to' person; recognised expert and thought leader


Essential Skills

  • Very high levels of attention to detail
  • Able to create a narrative, around a solution, campaign, report
  • Proven experience of leading a team
  • Demonstrable experience of managing significant budgets
  • At least 4 years' experience in an agency environment
