Currently seeking an Account Director with Events expertise for an established content business based in central London.
From digital media and iconic print brands to our award-winning events and cutting-edge data products, our client enables and inspires the very best performance in a range of selected markets.

The Account Director will be responsible for driving and growing sponsorship revenues within the financial portfolio. You will be reporting to the Commercial Director and working closely with Commercial and Events teams to drive revenues and exceed budget.  
There are 13 events across the portfolio – ranging from Roundtables to large conferences and prestigious award ceremonies and the sponsorship opportunities are wide in range and scope

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 
• Developing a new business accounts while managing existing accounts to achieve ambitious sales targets and drive yield 
• Prospecting, qualifying potential clients and closing sales.
• Coordinating sales with conference producers and logistics managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sponsorship elements 
• Diligent management of the CRM system (salesforce) 
• Coordinating and fulfilling post-sale feedback with the marketing and conference producers to ensure repeat business
• Occasional travel to events

BEHAVIOURS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Demonstrate exceptional daily sales drive, in-depth knowledge of audience needs across the finance sector and strong commercial acumen
• A proven track record in defining and delivering high value sponsorship packages in the B2B or B2C events sector
• Ability to identify opportunities, develop new initiatives and compelling creative solutions
• Effectively communication; building rapport and relating to others at all levels both internally and externally
• Adept at networking 
• Experience of working collaboratively with multi-platform teams
• Ability to work with senior industry contacts
• Strong goal orientation, focusing on setting and exceeding personal, team and organisational goals
