Group Account Director - Disruptive Marketing
There are many Group Account Director roles out there and at times it can be hard to differentiate one from the other. Most of them will be really good stable roles where if you follow processes you will always do well.
However once in a while a role/agency comes along that’s different. Offers you something more than just a job, giving you that blast of excitement and yet still challenges and reminds you why you got into this industry in the first place.

Our client is a disruptive marketing agency that was founded by two industry leaders who have a reputation for doing things differently and have a proven track record throughout their careers that back this up.
This is NOT an egotistical agency, they don’t believe in the ivory tower syndrome so big egos need not apply. As a disruptive marketing agency they invest heavily into creativity and strategy and their approach and ideas are designed to shake the markets they operate in, which they do very well.
They’ve only been around for a few years and already have won some big names under their belt and yet still maintain their 100% pitch win success rate... yep thats not a mistype! I can reveal more later.
Its due to this ongoing success that after a large recruitment drive this year that we are now seeking a Group Account Director to come on board and work across three core clients. All varying in size. Enough to handle but not enough to drown under…!
We aren’t looking for a typical Group Account Director. This person needs to be a real leader. And we don’t just mean leading people. You will take the lead on one of this agency’s flagship accounts and will be expected to develop this YoY. And it’s a fantastically creative client with budget to play with!
You will have a passion for creativity and understand the importance this plays when trying to do things differently in an off the shelf market.
You will be someone that people will respect because you aren’t a bark orders type of person. You will remember what it’s like to look after the up and coming talent and nurture them as they will ultimately be the ones that make your life easier.
Be prepared to role your sleeves up and get stuck in. As you should lead by example. Leaders are involved, not sitting on the side lines giving motivational speeches.
You will have an integrated background covering both on and off line channels either on B2B or B2C. We don’t mind which.
You will be a voice in the room, someone people will look up to because you are knowledgeable and your team will trust you.
But most importantly you must be prepared to challenge the norm. As I said before this is disruptive marketing so its about thinking differently and being inspired by others.
And finally try to remember its also about having fun. So as much as we want you to love the opportunity and feel motivated to come in every day, what’s even better is if you’ve got a personal passion outside of work. Something that is completely yours.
In return for your skills as a Group Account Director our client offers a generous package ranging between £60-70k plus benefits.
