The focus of the work is innovation in the FMCG area spanning food, drink, healthcare, personal care, household and retail and their clients are top name global accounts. The work is challenging, varied and encompasses many aspects of qualitative insight, including accompanied shops, immersions, in-home ethnography,co-creation, ideation, online communities and workshops. However, this is more than just another qual role. This is a strategic consultancy role, taking you beyond the limits of qual and into a client-centric, innovative world where new products are imagined and born. You will draw on wider sources - using client data and segmentations as reference so you need to be data savvy too. This role will see you working on large, strategic innovations projects for existing and new products, and your expert eye will enable you to find new opportunities for your clients to grow their market share or extend their range. You will love working with clients and developing really strong on-going relationships with go beyond the project in hand. It is also important that you are a proven developer of business from your clients and you will be hungry to hit your sales target and grow the business.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in innovation within FMCG and strong qualitative research skills. Additionally, experience in R&D or Food Technology would be highly advantageous. You need to be adventurous and open to exploring new ways of engaging with consumers - there are no focus groups here! Most likely, you will come from a strategic consultancy or creative qualitative research agency. Above all, you will be curious, commercial and smart with fantastic client handling skills.
