Creative Artworker, Royston -

An exciting opportunity has just become available for a Creative Artworker to join a leading publishing company within the care sector. This company has been around for over 20 years and you will therefore be joining an established and dynamic team of creatives.

Their continuously growing portfolio of products and events offer information, guidance and best practice. They reach senior executives in care and support, care seekers and their close relatives, families of children with additional needs and the practitioners who work with them. They interact with all facets of the sector from the regulator and government through to providers and the general public.

The role will predominately focus on design for print, but there is a need for understanding and knowledge of different digital, online platforms. The role services the needs of the production and marketing teams, and responsibilities will include copy chasing, proofing, alterations and final approval of multiple advert campaigns. The role will also involve design support in the production of national event/exhibition material, such as banner-stands, AV graphics, floorplans, e-shots and the conceptual design, brand maintenance and updating of artwork for over 40 annual publications.

The successful candidate is expected to bring new ideas, enthusiasm, flair, creativity and an impressive work ethic. Candidates must have a strong personality, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Attention to detail is essential and some proof-reading experience would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will also be expected to:
* Liaise directly with the sales team, editorial and marketing departments
* Communicate with multiple clients and corporate establishments across the UK
* Work effectively from detailed flat-plans and follow company procedures at all times
* Adhere to tight deadlines and follow busy schedules
* Follow brand guidelines and use CS templates
* Create PDF proofs for internal and external proofing
* Create PDF pre-press artwork and liaise with multiple printers
* Originate and update online e-books

Skills and attributes:
* Minimum of 2 year's creative industry experience
* A sound knowledge of all Adobe CC software (Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
* Conscientious design skills and a strong portfolio
* Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
* The motivation to maintain and improve design standards
* Attention to detail and experience working to tight deadlines
* Ability to multi-task under pressure Studio Manager
