Marketing & Communications Director
Carter Murray has been retained by a leading and progressive technology services provider that is growing at a rapid pace within the IT managed services market (and new areas of strategic and transformational change), following completion of significant equity investment in Q3 2016 they are looking to recruit a commercially focussed Marketing & Communications Director into a newly created post.
An exciting time for the organisation, over the last 2 years they have grown at a rate of 39% compound annual growth from being 150 employees South East based to 325+ nationally. Alongside this, collecting numerous awards including Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For Since 2009 and Hiscox Tech Track 100 2016 as well as many others.
Reporting to the CEO which will provide the successful candidate with strategic insight and engagement as part of the company's leadership team as well as an important portfolio of functional management, this role offers total autonomy and opportunity to shape and deliver the Marketing & Communications strategy. Managing a current team of 3, the remit for this post is both strategic and very hands on, you will also design and build the relevant Marketing function (whether in-house or/and agencies/third parties to deliver success.)
Other key areas of responsibility is:
Lead Generation - Working closely with the CEO & Sales Director to develop an integrated marketing and communications strategy and demand generation execution plan leveraging appropriate channels and routes to market with a clear understanding of intended RoI and outcomes.
Content & Communications, Brand Management and Culture & Social. You will also be involved with M&A, including due diligence.
It is essential you have a B2B Technology background, Managed Services would be advantageous.
Having worked at Senior Marketing level (Senior Manager, Director or Board position) within a medium sized business or business unit (£20m - £200m) targeting the SME and mid-market space, you can show demonstrable examples of consecutive yearly impacts through marketing with a passion for both strategy and delivery. A strong all round marketer is required with extensive experience of online marketing tools.
Due to the size of the organisation, a collaborative and inclusive personality is required, so ivory towers here. The culture is open plan with lots of hard working individuals but who also enjoy office social interaction.
