Sitting within the central market strategy & planning team, you'll be a key influencer for sales, marketing & category teams. You'll need to be dedicated to getting to the heart of why consumers and shoppers do what they do, and have the ability to educate internally on this, and help embed insights within the wider business strategy.
Some key points to note are:
- It's a highly cross-functional role, so you'll need to be able to build and manage relationships across the board and at a range of levels
- You'll need to understand how to build long term brand equity & loyalty
- You'll have involvement in NPD and be a key decision maker in guiding product evolution
- The business will look to you for guidance and intelligence on category performance and customer profiles
Most importantly you'll need to demonstrate a passion for what you do, and a drive which under-performs all of your technical experience.
This could be a great chance to make a mover from an insights agency, or alternatively a background in FMCG or grocery retail would also be a great fit.
