Following the launch of the 2015 – 2020 Strategic Plan – Creating the University of the Future, we are now recruiting for an experienced Head of Communications to lead the development and implementation of Nottingham Trent University’s communications strategy that will enhance the University’s reputation and establish NTU as a leading UK university renowned for creativity, innovation and thought-leadership.   

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with extensive communications and media relations experience.  We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge and understanding of the latest developments in HE policy who can demonstrate significant knowledge and understanding of current affairs in the international, national and local political arena.  

Outstanding communicating and influencing skills are essential, with clear evidence of the ability to develop and manage long-term internal and external working relationships. 

An ambitious, proactive and creative approach to identifying future opportunities is key, whilst demonstrating the ability to focus on organisational priorities and the delivery of a long-term strategic plan.
