This position is working for the UK’s biggest and most valuable garden and outdoor living tradeshow, attracting over 550 suppliers to the garden industry and over 7,000 visitors from the garden trade

Purpose of Role

  • Generate new business contacts and revenue from new and lapsed clients. 
  • To reach and exceed sales and revenue targets and performance objectives
  • Ensure the customer experience is very positive to ensure long term customer retention and rebuilding relations with lapsed customers
  • To research the market, analyse trends and use that information to engage with new customers and qualify effectively
  • Make recommendations regarding Sales Plans and future new business sales strategy
  • Be a market expert and market shaper

    Key Accountabilities

  • Build new revenue streams from new clients.
  • Successfully achieve and exceed specified targets and performance objectives
  • Be deeply knowledgeable about market, customers, competitors and products
  • Maintain strong sales pipeline through effective activity, call management and lead generation
  • Innovate new revenue streams and new product angles

    Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Ideally looking for candidate that can speak fluently in either French or German
  • Minimum 6 years  sales experience
  • Strategic and target driven business development experience essential
  • Experience of  new business generation and adding value to customers
  • Digital and Sponsorship sales experience an advantage
  • Proven track record of problem solving and constructive solution selling
  • Experience presenting and influencing at a senior level 
  • Ability to work in a high performing, fast paced, matrix environment
  • Engaging and empathetic with ability to challenge at senior levels 
  • Personal credibility and gravitas to command respect from the team, wider business and clients
  • Self-motivated, self-sufficient and accountable
  • Adapts well to change
