ACCELERATOR PROGRAM AND OPERATIONS DIRECTOR


This Venture Lab creates sector-specific accelerator programmes in industries that can yield significant financial and social returns. Its flagship programme is a 14 week accelerator programme for entrepreneurs looking to transform education with technology.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching companies directly
  • Build and deliver a startup support programme capable of attracting, taking an ownership in and accelerating the success of the world's most valuable edtech startups, by continuously developing and honing on their service design, operational processes, and technology
  • Delivering the accelerator programme whilst in session. Including planning,organisation & impressive delivery of the calendar of events
  • Collecting feedback from the community of alumni entrepreneurs, investors & partners.
  • Maintain relationships & securing new deals with regular programme providers to support startups in their day to day business needs - this can be anything from accounting providers, marketing tools, recruitment solutions & freelancers.
  • This will include managing the budget amendment/approval process as well as working with the accountants to present timely management reports to the Board & senior management ream
  • Developing controls & guidelines for recruiting new hires.
  • Identify efficiency improvements and introduce appropriate systems, processes and controls
  • To build operational capacity and plans around new business opportunities


Desired Skills (not essential)

  • You will be a keen strategist and will be fast to understand different business models
  • You will likely have worked in a senior and crucial role in a fast-growing start-up which has
    developed your expertise in start-up operations
  • 2+ year developing / incubator / startup commercial relationships
  • 2 + years developing commercial relationships for digital businesses or within the education sector
  • Active speaker in high-profile forums centred on industry specific or cross-industry topics
