Our clients website is visited by millions every day, and a household brand to back you up, the scope for this role is huge, and the company has high ambitions for the future

The role

We are looking for a Commercial Manager/Director to deliver sales targets, within a small team and with this being a senior role you would be expected to contribute to the overall direction of the site including what content to commission and usability of the site.  Ideally you will have experience from a classified managerial role or listings experience in running a team at the same time being used to hitting your own sales targets too.

The role would suit a commercial manager/director or a rounded and ambitious manager looking for a role with wider involvement and ultimate responsibility.

In addition to the website there is also a quarterly magazine and two annual events.

  • Develop a culture, environment and skill set within the team for first industry knowledge in order to create and maintain long term business relationships in line with customer needs through a credible, high performing & motivated team.
  • Ensure that the required level of activity is in place to achieve account management targets, grow client engagement and usage and guarantee client satisfaction within the team.
  • Analyse and manage overseas customer acquisition & retention to deliver the highest market penetration of customers and stock.
  • Develop effective strategies & operating plans for growth and gain within your channel using data analysis, reporting, strategic planning and effectively implement these across the team to grow the channel in numbers & revenues.
  • Lead, manage, train & coach a talented team including regular team and individual meetings, performance management to maximise results, recruitment, development, consequence management.
  • Report on KPIs, data management & overall performance trends

 

 

The person

  • Proven senior background in Classified or listings sales
  • Have proven track record in negotiating, presenting and growing revenues direct, face to face and via teams at a SME and Corporate company level.
  • Have professional & polished presentation skills.
  • Experience required in, exposure to or an understanding of online advertising industries and direct marketing.
  • Experience in, exposure to or an understanding of the property industry highly desirable.
  • Have experience in sales training, performance management, coaching and recruitment as well as performance evaluation & forecasting.
  • Inter-personal skills to enable working with people at all levels.  Must be credible and comfortable dealing with and presenting to senior company execs.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and control group situations with confidence and ease, with ability to actively participate and contribute to meetings.
  • Have an exceptional ability to negotiate and influence.
  • Strategic & operational planning experience.
  • Ability to be flexible and comfortable in a fast-moving results-orientated environment.  Be self-motivated and proactive.
  • Personal commitment to improving one’s own knowledge and sharing best practice with colleagues
