Our client, based in Central London, is a leader in their field. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team.
You will plan and sell a basket of broadcast technology products and connections - and services -- so as to contribute to the global growth of our client. This is a targeted sales role, with responsibility for hitting agreed sales targets. This is a role that involves chasing new business.
The world of sales can be a tricky place. The best people know how to clinch a deal, and strategy and planning is often key. This can be a long sales cycle, so needs strong collaboration skills, and tenacity. You'll be responsible for helping deliver vital sales strategies - playing a crucial role in the success of this company.
So what will you actually be doing:
* Finding and maximising new business, in a global market.
* Developing sales verticals, tactics, sales plans and profit targets
* Representing the business at conferences, trade fairs and events

The finer details
* You'll be required to work regular office hours but put in extra work when needed. You'll have an office as a base in London, but there will be travel, both in the UK and internationally. *
* A talented business Development manager will be highly valued and should have the drive to one day be head of sales or a managing director.


OK, I'm interested... But is it really the job for me? To succeed you'll need to have:
* An experienced sales person, used to dealing with corporate/Financial businesses and dealing with C-Suite level
* Already working in a tech/solution based environment, would be a big advantage
* Used to long sales cycles
* An ability to manage a long pipeline which takes time to deliver
* A self-starter
* Used to working with numerous stakeholders, such as Technical, Operations, Legal, Partnerships
* Has the ability to learn quickly and present our client in a professional way
* Be prepared to travel where needed.
* Qualities include persistent, driven and a positive attitude
