Digital focused integrated designer
Oliver are looking for an integrated designer, with a real focus on digital design/motion graphics, to work in a dynamic, creative team on-site within the Guardian’s marketing department.
You will be based in the Guardian’s HQ, situated in the heart of post-gentrified King’s Cross, rubbing shoulders with journalists, liberals, tech wizards, trendy art students and top quality street food vendors.
You should be the kind of designer who is interested in all things digital, with an ability to ideate and create using tools such as After Effects, Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop.
A preference would be if you can use or have interest in working with, Sketch, Principle, Cinema4D, Adobe Animate, basic coding, HTML5, 3D printing, rapid-prototyping, VR, and/or any other boundary-pushing, genre-bending tools.
The type of work we do is very wide-ranging and can include, but isn’t limited to, brand & awareness advertising, direct response advertising, branding, social media videos/animations, repackaging news into branded content, event design, UI/UX design, book and magazine design etc.
We need someone with about 5+ years experience, unless you are totally amazing but with less experience, someone who is the finished article but loves to learn, someone who specializes in digital but doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty with print and layout design, and above all someone who thinks great design, ideas and style transcend the tools used to create it.
If this sounds like you, or someone you know, get in touch!
