Programmatic Sales Manager - Lead Programmatic Sales Role for a Major Publisher

Central London

The publisher landscape has changed dramatically over the past few years, even more so with the rise in programmatic.

We're working with a major publishing group who are defining themselves as "programmatic first" and looking to define a new way of managing their advertising inventory.

This comes at an interesting time of change, where they are looking at create new brands, upgrading, and developing their websites, creating new apps, and looking at new propositions in the market.

In order to build on this, they need an experienced agency sales professional; someone who's well connected across the industry, who has a good knowledge of programmatic deals, and who can support and lead the sales team when it comes to programmatic offerings.

Their sales team are currently performing extremely well, achieving full bonus and over-achieving on all targets, but crucially they do not have someone in a lead programmatic sales role who has c. 2 years of experience of selling programmatic.

That's where you come in.

They're looking for someone who understands programmatic, with great experience of working with trading desks and building long term relationships. You'll need to be well connected and experienced in programmatic sales.

In return, this role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to make a huge impact on a highly performing sales team, with great opportunities to carve out promotions and step into senior leadership roles within the business.

The key aspects of the role are;

  • Working as the lead in the team for programmatic sales
  • Driving the sales team to increase programmatic knowledge and sales
  • Work with agency groups to increase programmatic spend
  • Acting as lead contact for the trading desks, ad agencies, & DSPs
  • Support the wider sales team in pitches when selling full packages incl. programmatic offerings
