Web Designer - Oxford - £23,000 - £28,000

Are you an experienced web designer looking for a more rewarding role?

This is the chance to join a fun, independent agency in Oxford that specialises in designing and implementing customer loyalty and employee rewards programmes. Put simply, they help businesses improve employee performance, increase customer loyalty and drive sales.

The role

This role is a very important one and sits within the creative and comms team. As a Web Designer with experience in UX/UI you will create web design solutions that have a high visual impact. The role involves taking briefs and understanding needs before making design decisions and writing code.

Web design will be required for a variety of solutions across desktop, tablet and mobile platforms, including ecommerce web applications, reward applications and product portals.

You will typically work to a brief agreed with the Creative Design team and/or Account Manager on each client.

This job requires creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.

Skills and software knowledge:

  • Good design ability, with design portfolio
  • HTML and CSS
  • Experience using Bootstrap framework
  • Knowledge of .NET, use of Visual Studio is preferable
  • Experience using SQL
  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Ability to adhere to customer branding when creating designs
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
  • Self-motivated
  • Team player and able to build relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
