Condé Nast Traveller has unveiled a series of iPhone app-based city guides covering Rome, New York, Barcelona and Paris, priced at £5.99 each.
Condé Nast: offering app-based city guides
The apps were created in partnership with digital development firm Acrossair, incorporating GPS with augmented reality, specially commissioned personal insight from city insiders and automatic updates every season, to ensure consumers are armed with recommendations for the latest ‘can't miss' attractions.
Emanuela Pignataro, country manager for Condé Nast Digital Britain, said: "We're delighted to enter the UK market with our specially purposed guides, offering editorial uniquely commissioned for these City Guide Apps."
She added: "Reflecting the brand values of the magazine, this is a natural extension for audiences that are connected, media savvy and want to arrive in a city armed with all the knowledge they need to make the most of their time there, as if they were a local."
The New York, Rome, Barcelona and Paris City Guide Apps will be priced at £5.99, and will be available from the iTunes store later in June. They will not carry advertising.
