Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has promoted its North America marketing chief Mary Daily to lead its worldwide marketing with immediate effect. Daily, as president and chief marketing officer of worldwide marketing, will lead 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment's evolving consumer approach. (Marketing)
Helen Normoyle, director of marketing at the BBC, is joining the sofa retailer DFS as chief marketing officer. Normoyle is a former director of marketing at Motorola and has been director of marketing at the publicly-funded broadcaster since September 2010, after a spell as its director of audiences. Walker Media, the M&C Saatchi-owned media agency, has combined its digital display and TV-buying teams and promoted digital strategist Clive Record to the position of head of screen. (Media Week)
OMD Group has appointed Matthew Wigham, the head of investment at Manning Gottlieb OMD, to the new role of head of investment across the group. (Campaign)
Maxus has appointed Mindshare's Nick Baughan as its managing director. Baughan joins from Group M to fill a vacancy created in November last year when the former managing director Tim Irwin moved to the role of chief operating officer. (Campaign)
News Corporation has hired Hamish McLennan, until recently chairman and chief executive of Young & Rubicam (Y&R), to develop global brand partnerships across its portfolio of media assets. McLennan takes up his new position as executive vice president, office of the chairman, immediately and will feed directly into chairman and chief executive Rupert Murdoch, and president and chief operating officer Chase Carey. Initiative has appointed Sarah Tsirkas to head of magazine brands in a move that reflects the agency's ongoing developments in this sector. Tsirkas, who has been at Initiative for six years, was promoted from her role as press group head on 10 February and will now report to press director Vanessa Doyle. (Media Week)

Channel 4 has appointed Matt Salmon, group commercial director at Hearst Magazines UK, as head of agency sales. Salmon will be responsible for the relationships, output and revenue for half of Channel 4's agencies and clients, and he will lead a 50-strong division across three agency teams. (Media Week)
Richard Hayes, magazine sales controller at Bauer Media, has resigned and is to leave the company at the end of April, following the appointment of Clare Chamberlain as Bauer Media’s sales director across its print and digital operations. It is not clear whether he has a job to go to. (Media Week)
The Net-a-Porter Group has hired Tess Macleod Smith as its new group publishing director. In her new role, Macleod Smith – who was publishing director of Hearst Magazines UK's Esquire and Harper's Bazaar until last September – will report to Natalie Massenet, the founder and executive chairman of the company, and Mark Sebba, the chief executive.
