2012 Marketing Society Awards for Excellence
Unilever has received the most nominations in the shortlist for this year’s Marketing Society Awards for Excellence.
The FMCG giant has been cited in five different categories, including social media marketing for its ‘Lynx Excite’ campaign.
ASOS, British Gas, McDonald’s and John Lewis have each received four nominations, while Sainsbury’s has received three.
The judging panel, chaired by Tesco’s Richard Brasher, included Saj Arshad, group marketing director, Vodafone, Nina Bibby, global chief marketing officer at Barclaycard and Philip Gladman, category marketing director, white spirits, at Diageo.
Hugh Birkitt, chief executive, The Marketing Society, said: "We’re really pleased to have received a record number of entrants for our awards this year. The standard was particularly high making it a difficult job for our esteemed judges. It was particularly encouraging to see such a diverse number of entries with our B2B and new Content Marketing category being very well supported."
The awards ceremony will be held on Monday, 11 June 2012, at the London Hilton on Park Lane, London. For table bookings contact Steven Lewis at steven.lewis@haymarket.com, and for commercial opportunities contact Lisa Lione at lisa.lione@haymarket.com

For anyone who grew up during the 70’s and 80’s, the continued digital revolution is staggering to behold. Each new development brings us more wonderful experiences, with amazing freedom, at a hitherto unimaginable speed. But for the next generation, my 12 year old daughter included, nothing has changed.
