Former Mars marketer Jenny Ashmore leaves Yell, while James Murphy is installed as chief executive at newly created Adam & Eve/DDB in this week's round-up of people moves in advertising, marketing and media.

, the co-founder of Johnny Fearless, has left the agency to join Fold7 as its head of planning. (Campaign)

WPP has appointed Deborah Kerr to oversee Team News, its new agency unit that launched to service the News International business. (Campaign)

Following DDB Worldwide's acquisition of Adam & Eve, Adam & Eve staff dominate the new management team at Adam & Eve/DDB. James Murphy becomes chief executive, David Golding is chief strategy officer, Ben Priest becomes executive creative director, and Jon Forsyth becomes chief comms strategy officer. Ben Tollett and Emer Stamp will also take on executive creative director roles. Former DDB chief executive Stephen Woodford will remain as chairman and Tom Roberts will continue as Tribal DDB’s managing director .Discussions with the remainder of the DDB management team are said to be confidential and ongoing. Phil Lind, acting creative director at Channel 4, has been appointed to the position of creative director at ITV Creative following the departure of Chaka Sobhani. (Campaign)

Thomas Cook has appointed a new group chief executive, ending its search for a permanent replacement for Manny Fontenla-Novoa. Harriet Green, currently chief executive of Premier Farnell, the Leeds-based engineering company, has been appointed to the role. (Marketing)

Breakdown service RAC has appointed former News International sales director John Orriss to head its marketing team. (Marketing)

British Airways has promoted Hamish McVey from brand and design manager to head of brands and engagement. (Marketing)

Directories brand Yell has parted company with group chief marketing officer Jenny Ashmore, who leaves without a job to go to after only seven months in the role. (Marketing)

Steve Alexander, who was recently promoted to trading lead at Channel 4, is to retire from Channel 4 after 20 years at the company. (Media Week)

Vanessa Clifford, the head of press at Mindshare, is joining the national press marketing body, Newsworks, as its director of client services and strategy. (Campaign)
