Rosie Arnold, also a creative director, will take up the position of deputy executive creative director.

O'Keeffe, who has been at BBH for 18 years, has joined WPP as its worldwide creative director.

The creative, who is still in negotiations with WPP and yet to confirm a start date, said: "Most people presumed I was a BBH lifer, it's a hell of a place and I've had a great time. But WPP invited me to have a chat, I thought about it, and decided it's the type of role that you can't turn down."

Gill, who is part of the agency's senior management team, joined BBH in 1998 and was promoted to the board in 1999. He is currently the creative director on the global Vodafone account.

Arnold, who is also part of the senior management team, joined BBH in 1983. For the last ten years she has been the creative director responsible for Lynx/Axe and in early 2007, led the team that won the brand's digital account.

O'Keeffe joined BBH in 1990 and was made executive creative director in 2000.
