The ad features an office worker who leaves his desk and jumps into a waterslide hidden in a cupboard.
He makes his way home via the water slide, which weaves around buildings, over busy roads and through parks.
Paul Troy, the director of advertising at Barclaycard, said: "By the end of this year, more than a million of our customers will have a contactless credit card and we're showing them how easy and convenient it is to use."
The soundtrack to the ad is the 1976 hit Let Your Love Flow by the Bellamy Brothers.
The ad will break during the X Factor results on Saturday.
