Murphy, who has more than a decade's experience in digital and direct media, will take on the new role of global client and business development director at Mindshare.
The job is likely to involve developing Mindshare's product and client offering in the direct and digital space and working alongside Lucy Stafford, the managing director of direct at Mindshare UK, on its local offering.
Murphy joined Zed Media in 2004 having worked as an account director at Initiative and a group head at MediaCom Direct before that. Paul Constantine, Murphy's fellow joint managing director, is expected to continue running Zed Media.
Constantine and Murphy stepped up to the joint managing director roles at Zed in January 2008 after the previous managing director, Greg Grimmer, left to join the start-up agency Hurrell Moseley Dawson & Grimmer.
