The 24-year-old hit the headlines for the wrong reasons in February after images of him smoking a bong appeared in the News of the World.
Phelps was subsequently dropped by Kellogg as one of its brand spokesmen; however, other brands, such as Visa and Speedo, stood by him. And Subway has now also confirmed that Phelps will continue as a sponsor, by featuring him in a new campaign timed to coincide with the USA Swimming National Championships.
