In first position, Google Nose Beta, a service that allows people to search the web and re-create scents digitally, was shared 323,355 times. It was created in-house.

Other in-house offerings from Google include a 'treasure map mode' for Google Maps – in eighth place – and Gmail turned blue – in fourth.

Two ads from Google-owned social video network, YouTube, also made it into the chart.

In second and 10th position, one of the YouTube ads, created by Onion Labs, pretends the video platform was set up as a competition to find the best video ever made, while the other signals the closure of the service before it reopens in 2023.

Together, the YouTube ads account for more than a quarter of a million of the shares in this week's chart.

Last week's test drive ad from Pepsi sinks to seventh place after three weeks at the top, while another hidden-camera test drive ad for Renault, created by Manning Gottlieb OMD creeps into ninth place.
