Kakapo parrot named as 'official spokesbird' for Tourism New Zealand

LONDON - Sirocco, the kakapo parrot that came into the spotlight last year when he tried to mate with BBC presenter Mark Carwardine during an episode of 'Last Chance to See', has been made an ambassador for New Zealand by the country's tourist board.
