The viral, which was hosted on YouTube, featured Heidi Clarke on a romantic quest searching for the man who had left behind a jacket in a cafe.
But a follow-up video, in which Clarke admitted that she was an actress, led to accusations that Witchery was deceiving consumers.
Adam Ferrier, the planning partner at Naked, said: "We are very pleased with the start to the campaign, as it has got people talking. Everyone seems to be outraged, but they are not upset about it personally. It's a playful campaign that creates a sense of intrigue."
