Bartle Bogle Hegarty has hired Nick Stringer, the marketing manager at Channel 4, as its content director. Reporting to Mark Boyd, the creative director and head of content, he will work on various projects and accounts such as Levi's, Axe and Audi.
The BBH co-founder John Hegarty has been made a knight for his services to advertising. He regards it as recognition of the importance of creativity in the industry, James Hamilton writes.

Steve Kershaw, the Bartle Bogle Hegarty group director, has retired after 21 years at the agency. Kershaw joined in 1986 from Cadbury to run the Asda account. He also worked on the agency's Barclays account and had a stint as the new-business director.
John Hegarty, the co-founder of Bartle Bogle Hegarty, has joined the board of the online photo library Lensmodern as a non-executive chairman. Lensmodern was launched in January 2006 by a group of award-winning photographers with the intention of building a database of unusual and creative images.
The Bartle Bogle Hegarty head of digital production, Michelle Stanhope, has left the agency without a job to go to. Stanhope joined BBH in February from glue London, where she was the head of production.
