What person buys a financial product on the strength of a single
ad? Must be the same one who understands the mumbo-jumbo contained in
the compulsory "health warning". No such person exists. Which is why the
Government should heed the IPA's advice and end this ridiculous
requirement.

Is it time to ease up on the "wealth warning" requirements on
financial services advertising? The IPA certainly thinks so - in a
document produced last week it argues that the practice, which was
introduced almost two decades ago to protect consumers, has become
hollow and meaningless....
